Instant downloads possible (without having to go via email)

Problem

Im trying to make viart redirect after checkout straight to the download page - assuming a users order contains downloadable products.

Solution

1. Select "Orders-Payment Systems". then select the link for the "final checkout page" of the payment system you are using (I used paypal). In the text area for the "final messages - On Success Message" add this somewhere in the body:
{links}

2. Under "Order Statuses" edit "Validated" status and select "activate" under activation of downloadable products.

Do this and as soon as paypal (or other system) accepts payment and validates - as long as the customer is directed to the order_final.php page, the new link that is shown will be active and downloadable!
